At FamilyMessages.Org, we help organizations prepare for and improve their disaster recovery efforts by improving the flow of communication before, during and after a significant event. Using the FamilyMessages contact search engine, individuals and businesses can re-establish lines of communication, track employees' safety and better coordinate resources during the time immediately following an event. The first FamilyMessages contact database was deployed within 72 hours of the landfall of Hurricane Katrina and was a critical tool in the recovery efforts by the American Red Cross, volunteers at the Houston Astrodome and by the state of Louisiana during the weeks and months that followed.
Proper prior planning is essential to minimizing the impact of a disaster.
